Unique memorabilia from Roberto Scano’s private collection
Here you’ll find clear answers to the most common questions to help you visit the museum without any trouble. For any other questions, message me directly!
What is the origin of Roberto Scano’s Ghostbusters collection?
The collection stems from Roberto Scano’s personal passion for the Ghostbusters franchise, featuring rare and authentic pieces. Items were purchased online as well as around the world, including some rare pieces from international auctions.
What are the opening hours for the Ghostbusters Venice Museum?
The museum is open 24/7, but only online. Currently, there is no physical location. The dream is to create one, and who knows if it might happen sooner or later. Maybe on Poveglia Island!
Where can I find more details about the Ghostbusters movie and the props?
The Ghostbusters Reference Library is one of the most useful and accurate sites for Ghostbusters fans dedicated to prop building, cosplay, or screen-accurate replicas.
Are all Ghostbusters series contents included?
No. As a collector’s choice, I haven’t included the animated series “The Real Ghostbusters”, “Extreme Ghostbusters”, and “Ghostbusters” (Filmation). I also didn’t include the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, while you will find material from the saga’s real origins, “The Ghost Busters” (1975, which coincidentally is the year Roberto Scano was born).
Can I buy any props?
As a museum, we don’t sell any props (the museum items are not currently for sale), but we can put you in touch with professionals who create dream equipment.
Is there a Ghostbusters association in Italy?
Certainly! It’s called Ghostbusters Italia, and they organize activities all year round. Sign up and become one of us!
Are there any events or temporary exhibitions organized by the museum?
Yes, we regularly organize special events and temporary exhibitions dedicated to Ghostbusters fans, particularly in Venice in collaboration with the “Creature di Gomma” museum.
Is it possible to buy souvenirs or gadgets at the museum?
Since it’s not a physical museum, there are no gadgets or other items available.
