Description
The official board game dedicated to Ghostbusters II, published by Cryptozoic Entertainment in 2017 (also known as Ghostbusters: The Board Game II).
It’s a cooperative experience for 1-4 players where the Ghostbusters must investigate and fight the Mood Slime invasion flooding New York. It includes plastic miniatures (with two versions for each Ghostbuster: Proton Pack and Slime Blower), modular maps, event cards, iconic enemies from the second movie (Vigo, Janosz, Scoleri Brothers), and new mechanics like slime puddles.
A standalone game that expands and improves on the first board game’s system, perfect for reliving the atmosphere of the 1989 film.

Value for Ghostbusters fans
For a true Ghostbusters fan, this game has high value, especially for those who love the second movie and thematic board games:
- Movie accuracy: It’s one of the few official products that focuses specifically on Ghostbusters II, featuring Mood Slime, Vigo the Carpathian, and many direct references to the sequel. Fans appreciate the attention to 1989 details rather than just the first chapter.
- Components and immersion: The plastic miniatures (especially the two versions for each Ghostbuster), modular maps, and new mechanics make the game more dynamic and fun than the first one. Many consider it an improvement over the original system.
- Collectibility: As a Kickstarter-based title that’s been out of print for years, sealed copies (especially Deluxe editions) have reached interesting prices on the secondary market. Kickstarter expansions like the Get Real Pack or Peoplebusters Pack further increase the value for completionists.
