Value for Ghostbusters fans
For a collector or hardcore Ghostbusters fan, this CD has medium-high value, especially if it’s the 1985 first US pressing ARCD-8246 (often with a Japanese matrix, like many early Arista CD editions):
- ’80s Nostalgia: This is the version closest to the film’s release. Many fans prefer this “vintage” edition over later reissues.
- Display Piece: The booklet and simple graphics typical of early CD editions make it look great displayed next to the LEGO Ecto-1, posters, or other film memorabilia.
- It’s not extremely rare, but the first US pressing is becoming increasingly sought after by Ghostbusters completionists.
