For a true Ghostbusters fan, this set has very high value, especially emotional and collectible:
- Pure nostalgia: It’s the first official LEGO set dedicated to the original 1984 movie. Born as a fan project on LEGO Ideas (then called Cuusoo) and selected by the community, it represents a piece of history for both LEGO and the franchise.
- Excellent minifigures: The four main minifigs are among the best ever made for an ’80s license: perfect expressions (especially Venkman’s smirk), detailed front/back printing, and proton packs. Many fans consider them the best “classic” versions ever produced.
- Iconic status: The Ecto-1 is one of the most recognizable vehicles in movie history. Even though it’s smaller than the Icons version 10274 (2020), this 2014 version captures the spirit of the movie perfectly with an excellent detail-to-size ratio.
